Seven-year-old Paras and Kamala Devi were hospitalized following their encounters with the wolves. Kamala Devi recounted her ordeal, explaining that she was attacked while returning from the washroom late at night. She managed to escape with scratches but was left traumatized by the experience.

The recent attacks have heightened fears across Bahraich, with over 35 villages now on high alert. In the past month and a half, wolves have reportedly killed eight children and a woman, prompting local authorities to take action. District Magistrate Monika Rani urged residents to remain vigilant and advised them to sleep indoors to avoid further incidents.The Uttar Pradesh Forest Department has launched “Operation Bhediya” to capture the wolves responsible for these attacks. So far, four wolves have been captured, while two remain at large. The operation has faced challenges as the wolves change locations frequently, complicating efforts to track and contain them.
