PlayStation State of Play September 2024: Everything Announced

Arguably the biggest announcement from the show today was that the sequel to Ghost of Tsushima will be arriving in 2025. The new game will be titled Ghost of Yotei and focus a new protagonist, Atsu. The announcement trailer gave us a pretty good look of what we can expect from the upcoming game from Sucker Punch.

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered Announced

We got official confirmation that Horizon Zero Dawn is getting remastered for the PS5. Anyone who owns the PS4 version will be able to upgrade to the PS5 version when it comes out for $9.99. The remaster is arriving on October 31, 2024 and will include 10 hours of re-recorded dialogue as well as visual enhancements.

Monster Hunter Wilds Release Date Revealed

Monster Hunter Wilds is officially coming on February 28, 2025. The latest addition to the Monster Hunter series will be arriving on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The new trailer we’ve included above showed off new monsters as well.

Archeage Chronicles Is Releasing in 2025

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered Is Coming in December

PlayStation accidentally leaked earlier today that Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1& 2 remastered will be arriving on December 10, 2024. The remaster comes with improved visuals for PS5 and PS4 and is arriving on the 25th anniversay of the original’s release. These remasters will also be arriving on Xbox Series X|S consoles.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins Is Arriving in January 2025

Dynasty Warriors: Origins is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on January 17, 2025. The new trailer that came alongside the release date reveal shows gameplay for the upcoming game as well as some combat.

More Games Confirm PS5 Pro Support

PS5 Pro architect Mark Cerny gave an update at today’s State of Play about a number of games that will be offering PS5 Pro support. The list included Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and Metal Gear Solid Delta.

PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for October 2024 Announced

In addition to the other reveals from the show, PlayStation has also unvelied the lineup of games for PlayStation Plus games in October 2024. The new additions include WWE 2K24 and Dead Space, both of which we have reviewed very favorably.
